Installing a Water Vapor Insert

Installation Tips

AFIRE’s hybrid fireplaces operate using only water vapor and minimal electricity. To install one, simply create a dedicated space with access to a power outlet—ideally built into the housing. The unit includes a 100/240V to 24V adapter, with the correct plug for your country supplied by AFIRE.

Setup is straightforward: plug it in and place the unit into its housing. No ventilation is needed, making installation clean and hassle-free.

Thanks to AFIRE’s patented design, these fireplaces don’t require ventilation grids—the air intake is located at the top of the unit.

Pro Tip: The flames are highly sensitive to air drafts.

To maintain a steady and realistic flame effect, it's important to protect your water vapor fireplace from drafts. If your installation is in an open or breezy area, consider shielding the flames with glass, plexiglass, polycarbonate, or another suitable material. This ensures optimal performance and enhances the visual impact of your fire feature.

Filling and Draining the Water Tank

No fuel required – just water!

AFIRE fireplaces are powered by water, making them an eco-friendly and cost-effective choice. You can simply fill the tank with regular tap water. However, if your tap water is particularly hard, we recommend using a water softener or bottled water to ensure long-term performance and care for your unit.

Draining the tank is just as quick and easy, helping to keep your fireplace running smoothly and efficiently.
